DoubleTree by Hilton announce new hotel plans

Already, in the past week, the DoubleTree by Hilton chain of hotels has seen a new hotel in London open after acquiring the former Bestwestern Hotel and now the brand is set to expand even further, this time in Scotland.

On November 7th 2012 the Hilton Brand announced that a franchise agreement had be formed with BDL Select Operation and this would lead to a new hotel for the DoubleTree by Hilton Brand.

Dundee in Scotland will see the next hotel from DoubleTree by Hilton open in the spring of 2013. The hotel is the former Landmark Hotel and is a 95 room hotel which is expected to be as luxurious as the rest of the Hilton brand whilst still keeping the important history of the building intact. The hotel building is a 100 year old listed mansion with several gardens so all of the original features will need to be maintained creating an exquisite balance between luxury and heritage.

Plans are already underway for the conversion of the hotel which will be equipped with meeting rooms, restaurants, swimming pool, health club and spa all with the signature finishing touches seen through the DoubleTree by Hilton brand such as the welcome chocolate chip cookie upon arrival.

9 DoubleTree by Hilton Hotels have joined the other 9 hotels of the brand in the last 12 month which shows significant growth and potential for this brand of hotels. There are an additional 20 hotels expected to be in development in the UK and Europe.
